The Portion Balance Coalition (PBC) is a multi-sector collaborative whose members have come together to identify, co-create, and implement demand- and supply-side innovations in support of a balanced, healthy diet. Business for Impact at Georgetown University’s McDonough School for Business is the coalition’s neutral organizer and convener and is anchoring the work using a portion balance framework defined as: volume (quantity), proportionality (variety), and quality (nutrient density).

A food ecosystem where at every eating occasion, everyone desires and is able to choose and enjoy balanced food and beverage portions in support of a healthy lifestyle.
MISSION
Create, foster, and amplify cross-sector and sector-wide actions for healthier eating by focusing on portion balance, defined as a mix of volume, proportionality, and quality.
